Returns and Refunds Policy

This page explains how returns and refunds work for Sterolux devices and accessories. Please review the information below before initiating a return so you understand eligibility, time frames, and any applicable fees.

Overview

Because Sterolux devices and accessories are used in medical and healthcare environments, strict hygiene and regulatory requirements apply.

  • Returns must be initiated within thirty (30) days of the original delivery date.
  • Products must be unused, clean, and in their original, sealed manufacturer packaging.
  • Used or opened items are not eligible for return.
  • All non-defective, approved returns are subject to a 15 percent Restocking Fee.
  • The customer is responsible for all costs associated with return shipping.

Additional conditions for defective or incorrect items are described below.

Return Window

Returns must be requested within thirty (30) days from the date the order was delivered to you. Requests made after this period cannot be accepted, except where required by applicable law.

Condition of Returned Products

To qualify for a return:

  • The unit must be unused and never installed or connected to a water, power, or vacuum source.
  • The unit must be clean and free of any signs of use or contamination.
  • The unit must be returned in its original, sealed manufacturer packaging, including all accessories, documentation, and labels.

We reserve the right to inspect returned products and to decline a return that does not meet these conditions.

Hygiene Exclusion

Due to strict infection control and regulatory requirements, no used or opened items are eligible for return. This includes devices that have been installed, operated, or brought into a clinical environment, even if used only once.

Consumables and single-use items are non-returnable once the packaging has been opened.

Return Authorization (RMA)

All returns require prior authorization.

  1. Contact Sterolux Customer Service at support@steroluxsterilizer.com or (855) 291-6515.
  2. Provide your order number, device model, serial number, and reason for return.
  3. If the return is approved, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.

Items returned without a valid RMA number may be refused or delayed in processing.

Restocking Fee

All non-defective, approved returns are subject to a 15 percent Restocking Fee, which is deducted from the final refund amount. This fee covers inspection, testing where needed, and repackaging.

The Restocking Fee does not apply where prohibited by law.

Return Shipping Costs

The customer is responsible for:

  • All costs associated with return shipping
  • Appropriate insurance for the return shipment
  • Ensuring that the product is securely packaged to prevent damage in transit

We recommend using a trackable shipping method. Sterolux is not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you believe your product is defective on arrival, was damaged during transport, or you received the wrong item:

  1. Contact Sterolux Customer Service within 5 (five) business days of delivery.
  2. Provide your order number, description of the problem, and supporting photos where applicable.

We will evaluate the issue and advise whether the item should be repaired, replaced, or returned. In confirmed cases of manufacturing defect, shipping damage, or incorrect shipment, Sterolux will provide appropriate instructions and may cover return shipping costs and Restocking Fees, subject to applicable law and our warranty terms.

Refunds

Once a returned item is received and inspected:

  • We will notify you by email whether the return has been approved or rejected.
  • If approved, a refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days, minus any applicable Restocking Fee and shipping charges.
  • Banking or card processing times may vary and are outside our control.

If a return is rejected because it does not meet the conditions described above, we will contact you to discuss options for returning the product to you at your expense.
